The Navarra Association for Acquired Brain Injury (ADACEN) and the Navarra Artificial Intelligence Research Centre (NAIR Center) have joined forces to launch\u00a0NeuroPredict, an innovative project that aims to transform the way neurorehabilitation is delivered.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Acquired\u00a0brain injury, such as that caused by a stroke, affects hundreds of people in Navarra every year and often leaves sequelae that require long recovery processes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NeuroPredict\u00a0opens a new chapter: using non\u2011invasive measurement\u00a0headsets,\u00a0the project will record both brain activity and movement during rehabilitation sessions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Drawing on those data\u00a0and on\u00a0artificial intelligence, clinicians will be able to design\u00a0personalised\u00a0rehabilitation\u00a0programmes\u00a0that tailor therapeutic interventions to each person\u2019s neural and motor evolution, reducing non\u2011productive elements of therapy.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NeuroPredict\u00a0will enable clinical teams to adjust therapies precisely and on an evidence basis, strengthening residual capacities and promoting patients\u2019 autonomy.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This means more effective treatments, progress that is better sustained over time\u00a0and, above all, a\u00a0better quality of life for people living with the after\u2011effects of stroke and other neurological conditions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The project has been made possible by recent advances in artificial intelligence, which until very recently did not allow for a thorough analysis of data captured in situ while the user was performing exercises.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The initiative is particularly relevant for people in the sub\u2011acute and chronic phases, offering tools to\u00a0maintain\u00a0gains, prevent relapse and stimulate brain plasticity even long after injury.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NeuroPredict\u00a0will also encourage collaboration between social\u00a0organisations, research\u00a0centres\u00a0and healthcare professionals,\u00a0consolidating\u00a0Navarra\u2019s position as a benchmark for innovation in neurorehabilitation.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
