NAIR Center played an active role in organising and delivering the international summer school on artificial intelligence held at the University of Cambridge, a programme designed to explore AI’s impact across disciplines ranging from engineering and health to law, public policy and global security.
The Centre was represented by Scientific Director Marisol Gómez, who collaborated with the Department of Computer Science at the University of Cambridge.
Marisol gave a lecture as part of the school’s academic programme, addressing the challenges and opportunities of responsible, explainable and human‑centred AI, as well as the ways in which current and proposed regulations are shaping how AI systems are designed and deployed.
The programme featured contributions from experts such as Professor Klaus‑Robert Müller (Technische Universität Berlin), Professor Wojciech Samek (Fraunhofer HHI), and Nicola Palladino (Università di Salerno), among others.
The experience provided an excellent opportunity to share knowledge, identify future lines of research and strengthen ties with leading international groups—always with the aim of promoting an AI ecosystem that is critical, responsible and genuinely multidisciplinary.
