Privacy policy

This policy is applicable to the processing of personal data that the International Research Center on Artificial Intelligence (hereinafter, the Nair Center) carries out at its website. 

Data Controller  

The data controller of your personal data is the Fundación Centro Internacional de Investigación en Inteligencia Artificial con with tax identification number G71469779 and domicile at C/ Tajonar, 20 – 31006 Pamplona (Navarra). This organization has the obligation to ensure that your personal data is securely processed, in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Purpose: Subscription to the Nair Center bulletin 

Reason for processing: Advertising and commercial research purposes. Sending news about Nair Center activities. This includes participation in projects, conferences and product developments. Other information includes invitations to attend conferences, training sessions, webinars etc. 

Data storage: The data shall be kept until the data subject asks for the data to be erased or withdraws their consent for storage of same. 

Legal grounds for processing your data: The legal standing for processing your data stems from your consent, in accordance with article 6.1.a of the GDPR “the data subject gave their consent for processing of their personal data for one or more specific purposes”. 

Processed data: The data affected by this processing are data provided by the data subjects themselves, who have authorized us to use them after being informed of their rights and obligations. Only basic contact data shall be used for processing. 

Communication of data: No data shall be communicated to third parties. In the event of any intention to do so, authorization shall previously be requested from the data subjects, unless we are obliged by law to do otherwise. 

Rights 

You are entitled to know if the Nair Center is processing your data or not. 

You have the right to access to your personal data, which means that you are entitled to know what data is being used, for what purpose and the period of use. You are also entitled to ask for any data that are inaccurate or incomplete to be corrected and even erased when they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were gathered.  

If your personal data has been made public and the person responsible for processing is obliged to erase the data, you may ask that person to take measures to notify other persons who are processing them of their intention to erase them (right to be forgotten). 

In some circumstances the data subject may ask for a limitation on processing. In such a case the data may be kept to exercise the right of defense or claims. If the limitation on processing is removed, the data subject should be informed. 

In certain circumstance you may object to your data being processed. In such cases the Nair Center shall stop processing your data, as long as there are no other compelling legitimate grounds to continue or the data is used to exercise the right of defense or for possible claims. 

You have the right to receive the data sent to the relevant data controller or ask for the data to be sent to another data controller. 

Data subjects are entitled to present a claim to the control authority. 

The data controller’s compliance with these rights may be contingent in some cases on other laws that affect the way they are applied.
