Pamplona, 16 July 2024 — NAIR Center researchers Ander Goñi Medrano and Juan Pedro García Ortiz, both funded by Fundación Caja Navarra, attended the International Doctoral Summer School on Artificial Intelligence, Big Data & Management (IDSS-SouthernItaly 2024), organised by the University of Salerno in collaboration with the universities of Naples Parthenope, Nicosia and UPNA.
The intensive five-day programme brought together around fifty participants from Cyprus, Canada, Spain, Italy and other countries, and featured lectures by international experts alongside hands-on sessions and networking to build lasting research links.
The summer school examined AI’s relationship with business management, addressing data-driven decision-making, process automation and the governance of AI projects in organisations. The participation of NAIR researchers forms part of the centre’s training plan for doctoral candidates in computational neuroscience and intelligent data fusion.
The initiative strengthens NAIR Center’s internationalisation and the professional development of its young researchers.
